Many Google Search Console properties were affected, so make sure to verify your reports in the coming days.

Google claimed there was a fault with the coverage report in Search Console that caused it to falsely report that some pages were indexed by Google Search when they were not. You should probably double-check your coverage reports for the sites you manage over the following few days as Google stated that this "damaged numerous properties."

For the time being, you should probably schedule a reminder to check the coverage report in Google Search Console to determine if your pages that are indexed vs those that are not indexed have changed significantly.
Although Google has annotated the report, you should still check back frequently to see if there have been any significant changes to the index saturation of the pages on your site in Google Search.
